Huntsville Information Technology Services assigned this issue to Huntsville Utilities Street Lights

It has now been more than 6 weeks since I submitted the request. I have not received any update about action. Please advise whether there is going to be any action on the matter. Thank you.

This box is still here. I pass it everyday. Besides it being an eye sore, it appears unsafe. Will you please ask Huntsville Utilities to come collect. If it is still in use, please ask them to make it safe/ Thanks.

It's been 90 days and still no action. Do I need to elevate this to the Mayor's Office or my City Councilman?

The crew checked this one out in December of last year and it is not property of Huntsville Utilities. We could not find an identifier on the equipment, but it is presumed it belongs to a communication company. Hope this helps.

It shouldn't be such a big deal to get rid of this. I don't see why it can't just be picked up by a SWDA crew with the clamshell boom truck. Probably was originally installed by some commo company but it's obviously not being used now. Just a piece of junk!

This has to be an issue for Huntsville Utilities, if it belonged to a communication company then Huntsville Information Technology Services could have handled it but they assinged it to Huntsville Utilities.

It shouldn't be necessary to bring this up with a department head or someone in the mayor's office, should it? I don't understand why it's so difficult to pick up and remove a piece of unused junk on public property (Windham St. ROW).

I did not see that this was still an issue I figured HU took care of it. I have reached out to another department to help get this resolved. Due to the concrete, I can not pick it up by myself.

OK, I hope your request to some other department results in action. I thought this would be a fairly simple matter to resolve with appropriate action but it has been about four and a half months since I submitted the See-click-fix item. Not a very good reflection on how the city operates. But thanks for the followup.

I think there may be hope for it being removed. I noticed the other day that it had been moved out by the curb next to the trash cans. Hopefully the guy in the clamshell bucket truck will pick it up.

If they think it's computer equipment, then I doubt they will. I know they don't pick up computers and TVs from the curb.

The metal box has been hauled away, leaving just the concrete base behind. Progress!

That is good! Now maybe Huntsville Public Works can haul away the concrete base.

Ok I cut the wires last week and moved it by the curb hopefully they pick it up soon.

If you knew some of the stuff that Kelly does on here, you would want to rant too. She pretended to be me at one point and even pretended to be her own next door neighbor Edith (which is fraud). There's a lot more I could say than just that.

Vickie (aka Carol), an example of actual fraud would be drawing a disability check for a “finger injury” all the while playing on a bowling and pickle ball team. Hope this helps clear up the definition of fraud.
