  • 4004 Hawks Way Ne Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
The construction site at 4004 Hawks Way NE has a lot of trash and litter. It has been blowing around the neighborhood and some of it has even blown onto the adjacent trees and gotten stuck in the trees. This is the messiest building site I have ever seen in this neighborhood. Please have them clean up the building site if it is in violation of any ordinances. Thank you very much.
  • 7801 Ramada Street Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
Construction work at the house on the corner of Ramada and Coronado is using Coronado Avenue as their construction staging area. On this past Friday, two large loads of gravel was dumped on Coronado blocking half of the street and the workers are using a front end loader on the street scraping and damaging the street surface. Coronado Avenue's street surface is already in a very bad state of repair and we do not need construction workers thinking the streets are for them to file their construction materials on it.

Sewer concrete drain was run over by construction workers working on a house up the street 9 months ago. I have called the City numerous times, always transferred, left numerous messages and have not received a call back. I would really appreciate it if the City of Huntsville would get this long standing issue fixed & taken care of.

  • 5018 Montauk Trail Southeast Owens Cross Roads Alabama - Huntsville

I'm writing for my father. His neighbor at 5020 Montauk Trail, has raised her backyard fence line and the water drains into my backyard and down the perimeter line between our two homes to the street. It cause my yard to have standing water. Her sprinkler system adds to the issue as it runs daily and has a head pointed at the drainage rut. He has spoken to her and she did try to get it repaired; however, the person who did the work was shoddy and made the issue worse. I cannot mow the backyard near the fence because of the water and the rut in the front is getting deeper. We did contact our HOA and they referred us to this site.

Any help, you can give would be greatly appreciated. Mosquitos and fungus are an issue.

  • Creekwood Park Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
The dog park at Creekwood Park floods badly when it rains. It would be awesome if something could be done to alleviate this problem. So many people bring their dogs here to run and socialize, yet they leave a muddy mess. Thanks for looking into this issue. Many pet owners would be so appreciative!

  • 806 Corlett Drive Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
A couple of years ago, the City cleaned, repaired, and improved 2 inlets along the easement between 806 and 804 Corlett Drive and also added 2 new inlets and a berm, sodding the entire area afterward. This helped immensely for quite a while to prevent water from draining down into and flooding 806 Corlett Drive (my property). The property was water-free from almost a year, despite heavy rains. In the past year or so, the drainage onto 806 Corlett has worsened again. I'm requesting that the City do the following to address the issue:
    1. Have engineering reassess the area (preferably after some rain) to ensure that the 4 inlets and the berm between 806 and 804 Corlett are functioning as they should to prevent drainage into 806 Corlett Drive and that nothing further is needed. (Water stands between the inlets after rain, appearing to slowly soak into and saturate the soil beside the 806 Corlett retaining wall; water/soil drains over and under the wall.)
    2. Clean ALL 4 inlets in the easement between 806 and 804 Corlett.
    3. Clear brush/trees and debris in the easement to help alleviate the problem.
    4. RE-SOD the easement since the initial sod didn't survive. It's down to soil and the netting that was underneath the original sod. The soil in the easement is eroding and draining onto the 806 Corlett driveway.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your help with this! The City did an amazing job with the initial work two years ago, and it made a huge difference!
  • 804 Mullins Hill Drive Se Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
Hi! We have cracks in our curb where the water drains down the road. These cracks combined with the repaved road have caused our driveway to be so steep that our Honda Civic scrapes upon entry. We have tried to resolve this problem by placing a rubber curb "bridge" to add height in the "dip" but it is still not working. We spoke with a neighbor (804 Lenlock) who had some asphalt added to that section of their driveway to eliminate the same problem they had. They cannot remember who the City used to make the repairs. I am wondering if you could provide some assistance. Thank you.
