Thank you for submitting your request to the Howard County Department of Public Works. Our staff will investigate this issue and respond.

I have inspected all storm drains in this area and found no blockages. The inlets that reside in the yards are clear and water has positive flow into each inlet. The sunken area in the yard was fill by our staff a few months ago and has not returned. I did not find any sinkholes or signs pipe failures. The large RCP outfall that discharges in the yard and flows towards the pond is designed to follow a culvert along side the driveway. During heavy rains the water may jump the culvert but i found no evidence of erosion at this time.
