Warrants must be met to install Multi Way stop.
-5 or more accidents per year of a type that would be responsive to all-way stop control
-total vehicular volume entering the intersection from all approaches must average 500 vehicles (or more) for any 8 hours and the combined vehicular and pedestrian volume from the minor street or highway must average at least 200 units per hour for the same eight hours, with an average delay to minor street vehicular traffic of at least 30 seconds per vehicle during the maximum hour.

Is there any update on this request?

Another car accident at this intersection last Saturday (6/15). What’s it going to take to put in traffic calming at this intersection before someone trying to cross gets hit, or more car accidents occur.

Years ago, the community asked the County to construct a traffic circle at the intersection. The County determined that a circle was feasible. However, nearby residents vetoed the suggestion. The Village Board has requested that traffic at the intersection be carefully reviewed if/when any new development takes place at the Village Center with an eye to improving pedestrian and vehicular safety.
