Scrub trees and larger trees are almost obscuring the entire park vistas of the harbor. This is a popular park where locals and tourists used to picnic and watch fireworks, artists set up easels to paint, couples get married and tour buses stop to let tourists appreciate the views of Gloucester Harbor.
The soul of the park and the sole purpose of the park is for the view, and without the view Gloucester loses a special place.
