Furthermore there are areas of the city that have been neglected, Many don't conform to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Marlene worries about what? a recycle bin left out?
There are miles and miles of sidewalks around the city that people who use wheelchairs or mobility scooters cannot safely use.. Curbs all around Meadowlawn that are broken and need repair.. Overgrown canals that are the charge of the city and left neglected by the city. And if she is the head of the meadowlawn CONA then it should be disbanded.

JRocco36. You worded your answer, perfectly! I hope the residents|owners of Meadowlawn or CONA members and officials take heed of your insights!
JRocco36 you right again on what you about ADA. Sadly, it's probably not going anywhere with Marlene Murry as president of CONA. She bears no fruit with her works. Look at the Meadowlawn's signage, sidewalks, community events, outreach, or revitalization efforts. Compared to other communities in the northeast of St. Petersburg, Meadowlawn is in a crisis. She has never put up one new sign for the whole community. The last new sign was in 1995 on MLK.
Check her home (even google maps) you might say she runs the community like she runs her household. She bought her house long ago for under $50k. In all the decades she has lived there, she has not made one home improvement besides fixing the damage caused by their neglected roof that had not been touched since it was built (maybe circa 1950's). Marlene neglects what is essential and does not add value.

I would think the main job of CONA was to bring neighbors together. I don't understand how reporting good neighbors for such petty issues as a recycle bin or political sign helps bring the neighborhood together.
When Marlene puts a sign in her yard for the monthly CONA meeting is that is a snipe sign?
Is she then not in compliance with city code for snipe signs?
We live in a really good Neighborhood. I know most of my neighbors and we watch out for each other. I don't worry if they have a boat in the front, Park on the grass or leave their bin out too long.
Seems some people may just have other frustrations (Wink Freudian) that they can not resolve so they turn it on the people around them..
Another question is if anyone is going around the neighborhood, stopping at people homes and taking picture can't that be considered "suspicious activity"???? If so then it should be reported to the Police and let them explain what and why they are doing it. I will keep an eye out.
