Thank you for reporting your issue/ request to Howard County Department of Public Works/ Traffic Engineering. Field measurements were completed to investigate existing sight distances at the roundabout for southbound Old Scaggsville Road motorists approaching the roundabout. Please note that southbound Old Scaggsville Road motorists should yield to approaching northbound vehicles from the left-hand side. Our evaluation indicated that the sight distance for southbound motorists at the roundabout is adequate and meet the guidelines outlined in Howard County Design Manual. We also evaluate the sight distance for eastbound High Ridge Road and noticed that motorists have unobstructed line of sight for approaching southbound vehicles if they move closer to the dotted circulatory edge lines. For these reasons, we do not recommend any improvements at this time. This issue has been addressed and will be closed in Tell HoCO.
