Thank you for submitting your request to the Howard County Department of Public Works. Our staff will investigate this issue and respond.

Inspected inlet boxes on 4/10/19. Yard inlets are precasts and don’t see any issues. One has hole next to box that needs filled with soil, looks like water swirled and took soil away from a heavy rain.

Road inlets need some concrete parging work. Inlet box with road indentation was marked for stakeout on 4/10/19. Noticed inside corner of box has a hole where soil/stone may be escaping and causing the indentation. Area in front of box will be opened up to see where the problem area is. Will be completed by end of May 2019.

Roadway will be cut today 11/15/19 in front of box to address sunken area in roadway.

Roadway was cut and void filled with concrete on 11/15/19. Work is totally complete for this job location. Thank you for contacting the Howard County DPW Bureau of Highways.
