I too have reported this boat, for months now. Not only was the boat more dangerous because it floated to an area where kids could board it but because of the exact reason Mr. Poykko reports. Now we have a boat that has sunk with the result of oil spill and pollution to our water. The reasons I received from Harbor Patrol about the abandoned boat was it was not so easy to move a boat or find a place to put it. This is not acceptable and NOW who is going to pull up the boat from the bottom of the water way and who will clean up any oil spill? In addition, there are two other boats that park in the inlet for years now. They are asked to move , and do, only to return again a short time later. The garbage and debrie that is left in the water from these boats living here illegally should not be acceptable. Other boat must pay docking fees and dock there boats where there is running water and garbage cans supplied FOR A REASON. When these two boats are gone, the waters are clean. When they return, docking anywhere from a week to months, you will see a noticeable difference in litter near the shoreline of cups, paper, bottles and many other . What is Harbor Patrol doing to address this? Why do citizens need to call time and again and again?
