National Grid is replacing the gas main and the services to the residences. The debris was dumped on private property?

Hi Rose, NGrid marked lines about a month ago and when asked when the work would start, they said we, the corner neighbors, would be notified by the city. I have checked with 3 of the 4 houses that surround the square and no one has been notifed. Parking in the square, and to our driveways will be greatly impacted.

I'm here now and don't see where, after they were done working, any negative impact to the driveways. Where the equipment and dirt piles are, is private property and doesn't belong to any resident in the area. If the owner did not give permission then I will be happy to take the complaint to National Grid. I'm sorry that you were not notified of the work being done but that is a separate issue and will be addressed.

We also apologize that you were not notified, however it is not the City that notifies in this case. National Grid mails notices to their customers, we will inquire as to why this did not happen

The debris and piles of dirt are in very close proximity of designated Wetlands. I believe this is in violation of the Wetland Protection Act. During rain they are leaching into the Wetland. Has the Conservation Commission given Nation Grid permission to store this debris here next to the Wetland?

11/14 - Several 20+ foot long yellow utility pipes stacked on long side of Myrtle Sq. Still no notification from NGrid about work being done. Can someone from the city confirm with NGrid as to the extent of the work at the corner, possibly affecting access to/from #11, 13 and 15 driveways once digging is underway?
