I have lived near Bathurst and Lake Shore for 23 years. There has always been a 'No Left Turn' sign stopping left turns from Bathurst onto Fleet St. except for TTC vehicles. This has been respected for many years. However, with the growth of condos along Fleet St., this sign is abused on a regular basis. To prove my point, I stood at the corner of Fleet and Bathurst on July 30. I stood there for only an hour, 4.15 to 5.15. During that time, no fewer than 52 vehicles made illegal turns onto Fleet. I have at least three photos of each car making the illegal turn with license plate numbers. I have not seen a police presence here in 10 years. I once discussed a TTC street car driver about the whole intersection problem. His opinion was that the police have given up. I hope to include a few photos, but if I can't, I can produce them at any time.
