This is an ongoing problem which we have tried to address directly with NJ Transit, which operates patient transportation shuttles. Please read this comprehensive description in its entirety. These non-emergency shuttles pick up and drop off patients at the medical office at this address. Note that the medical office is the ONLY non-residential building (a converted house) on this block. Shuttles arrive to pick up patients from the office, and blast a recorded message over a public address loudspeaker that says "YOUR TRANSPORTATION HAS ARRIVED", at decibel levels designed to be heard INSIDE the building. This behavior is completely unacceptable, as the exceedingly loud recorded message can be heard inside all homes on this residential street, disrupting work, sleep (many people work nights), concentration, telephone calls, infants put down for naps, etc. In an age of cell phones, other means of notification are far more acceptable. NJ Transit's practice of using a PA system is unbelievably rude to all residents (and taxpayers, I should add) on this street, and demonstrates a total disrespect for the right to peaceful enjoyment of private property for all residents. This practice must stop. I'm calling on city officials to take corrective measures, and putting NJ Transit on notice that it must instruct all drivers to cease and desist the practice of using the PA system and repetitive horn blasts to summon its passengers who are inside a sealed building with double doors. A call to the reception desk is one possible solution, but something must be done. Thank you.

I have complained about the excessive noise coming from the gas station/ Halal truck numerous times, especially to the west district community liaison officer with nothing done to remedy the situation. I am constantly hearing loud bass from music beginning in the afternoon and lasting all hours of the evening.

Again, we have a complaint about SUPER DAVE. This time the complaint is about the playing of VERY LOUD MUSIC to purposely disturb the residents of this very small block. This complaint is classified as NOISE POLLUTION
  • Walgreens 2395 John F Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - West Side

Opening a new complaint regarding Walgreens. The side driveway by Harrison Ave continues to be FILTHY! Repeated complaints have been made by various neighbors, but the condition of the store and its parking lot continue to deteriorate since the management change several months ago.

I’ve reached out to Walgreens directly and received no reply. Police will not respond to complaints from citizens regarding loitering, drug activity, and aggressive panhandling. The store needs to be calling these things in, in addition to maintain their property.

Ice cream trucks park and play music for extended periods of time. Tonight at JFK and Belmont, one played jingle nonstop for nearly ten minutes while stationary. Can this be enforced? This happens multiple times a week in this neighborhood and it is against noise ordinances. This has happened well past 10 pm at times.

Please send an inspector for overgrown grass and weeds. Constituent stated that mosquitos and pests are constantly a nuisance.

Once again (should I just reopen the old reports - this occurs about once a month), the trash/garbage from the apartment building next door to my home and adjacent to our driveway spills out of non-lidded garbage cans, and impinges on our driveway. Then, when it gets too much, residents of the building seem to just leave garbage bags in the front. Currently, it is even difficult to get into the car parked in our driveway. I realize that on Sunday evening, when the garbage is put out for pickup, this will be cleaned up, only to start again on Monday until the following pickup up day. I do not believe the apartment building has a live in superintendent, nor do the receptacles have lids. Is there ANYTHING that can be done. This is not only a nuisance, but a health hazzard .

New asphalt speed hump was just installed this week on the street but no lines were painted on it making it very hard to see (especially at night). As it is indistinguishable from the standrad road, cars are speeding over it which in effect is causing loud banging noises. This is very disruptive. Requesting that the indication markers please be painted on the speed hump. Thank you.

In the past days, their has been a suspicious person sleeping under one of the playground equipment in the morning hours. He has also been using this toddler playground as his own personal gym. --Some parents called the park office but was treated like they were the nuisance. -

The music is absolutely unbearable! All day everyday! People live in the vicinity and they shouldn’t be allowed to blast their music for the entire neighborhood to hear! It is absolutely ridiculous. There’s a bar in the neighborhood that doesn’t even make half the noise this “business” (not even sure they should be called that because all the employees are always hanging outside smoking weed all day long) makes.
