Opis

Whenever we have a fairly heavy rain, like the rain yesterday on March 24, which was a fairly normal spring rain, MacAlpine Road floods. This creates unsafe conditions. It is especially unsafe in the winter, when it can also freeze. This has been a problem for some years but has been getting worse due to increased infill subdivision and other reasons. It has been reported several times, but no effective action has been taken. The last time someone reported it the county told my neighbor his mailbox was interfering with the flow of the water. This is serious but is only the most unsafe part of a larger problem.
The entire street has water flowing down the front of our yards that leave significant puddles any time it rains a significant amount, and the MacAlpine median, which used to become "MacAlpine River" once a year or so, now has water flowing in it any time there is significant rain.
Climate change has probably played a role, but the primary cause has been county land use decisions that did not provide adequate stormwater management for the increased housing.
We need a remedy to the situation, almost certainly involving drainage and improved stormwater management
