It was reported to OPD Animal Services over 10 days ago (see below), plus I made a report to animal services. It does seem that dead animals are left to linger in East Oakland far longer than in other parts of the city. Ditto toxics left on the sidewalk.

While the dead dog is gone, it is not forgotten. Unfortunately this location remains blighted with debris and is a spot of regular drop off for the 'operatives / professionals' who are using this as the low cost alternative to Waste Management. I suggest keeping this location on the PERMA-FIX list.

Helen City of Oakland - anyone there? Went by this location, now known as 'Dead Dog Lane' - and it was overflowing on both sides of the street with debris, trash, etc., with abandoned houses and things that looked very post-KAtrina New Orleans - how about showing up and fixing this please?

Please review the property across the street and overall area - blight is everywhere - this issue is not resolved unless you are wearing blinders

"Dead Dog Lane" has certainly evolved in our hood ---- now, we have seen the firestorm that took out the warehouse, somehow connected to a live in or abandoned camper, adjacent to the infamous "Garbage Boat" - which as those of us that drive through here know, is burned to a crisp after left to well - who knows.

HINT TO CITY: next time blight reports come in - you may not want to wait weeks or more, until blocks literally catch on fire to correct the issue.
