The stop sign is placed in advance of the vegetation to advise motorist of the stop condition on Roxbury Rd prior to Triadelphia Rd. Records indicate that the stop sign is visible to the motorist at this time. If you have further concerns please contact our office directly at 410-313-2430.

Spoke with Mrs. Smeltver - She is asking for trees and brush to be cleared back on Triadelphia Rd when you are looking right from Roxbury Rd to make a left onto Trialdelphia Rd.

Yes, the Stop sign is present and visible. However, as one sits at this intersection on Roxbury Road, it is not possible to see oncoming Eastbound traffic without dangerously approaching and/or entering the Westbound traffic lane of Triadelphia Road. There is no “line of sight” present. Would like to see this addressed.

Sight distance evaluation conducted at the subject intersection on 01/16/2020. The study result indicated that the line of sight for southbound Roxbury Rd motorists turning left onto eastbound Triadelphia Rd is clear and no vegetation obstruction was observed to see oncoming eastbound traffic. We will evaluate this location again in Spring season and will trim branches and vegetation if sight distance issue observed.

If a driver’s eyes were positioned on the line of site presented in the picture above, the front half of their car would be extended into the Westbound lane of traffic. After you posted this, I sat at that intersection in my vehicle, with the front of my vehicle safely stopped short of the Westbound lane, and cannot see the top of that hill. This is still a concern, even with Winter vegetation.
