Is the sidewalk considered part of a homeowner's property? I know we are responsible for keeping it clear of snow and keeping it so it is not hazardous. But we do not actually OWN the sidewalk, do we? And if the city needs to place a sign there for public safety--it has the right and obligation to do so. But I thought our actual property lines end just where the sidewalk begins. Along our fence lines. Right?

The property within 6 feet of the curb belongs to the city, we are just required to maintain it. So, they can install signage, particularly if it is for the safety of the community. Tell Joy to be cool.

And a speed bump is coming as well in front of 526.

WILL INVESTIGATE LOCATION

The Stop Ahead sign was installed in the sidewalk, which is within City right-of-way. The sign will remain as it provides advance warning.
