Westbound 55th St before Genoa, on the bike lane line. Series of 4 potholes, all marked. Please fill them all.

OAK 311 has received this issue. Your service request ID is #881025. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

Thanks for the report. Due to the danger to cyclists, this issue is being submitted to Oakland as a "TOP 10" for immediate attention under an agreement with the Bike East Bay Hazard Elimination program.

It’s now a month since the report was made, but this and a series of additional potholes reported on 55th St have not yet been addressed, while others I have reported elsewhere in the meantime have. Please check this out.

Additional reports I made back in January in other parts of town have also not yet been addressed, while others have.

It seems there might be a number of issues slipping through the cracks (no pun intended). Please check your pothole reports backlog and get up to date as soon as the weather allows, thanks!
