  • 4125-4129 West St Oakland, CA 94608, USA - Longfellow
Southbound West Street before 41st, large asphalt hump in bike lane left over from PG&E in front of 4117 West Street. Please remind them to return and smooth out the roadway here.
  • 4711-4715 West St Oakland, CA 94608, USA - Longfellow
Giant hole in the southbound travel lane on West Street before 47th Street, and another in the bike lane, along with lots of loose gravel. Looks like this is associated with possibly unpermitted sewer lateral or other utility work outside of 4707 West Street. Please follow up with the homeowner and the company responsible for this work to ensure that it the street is kept safe for all road users.
  • Other Acknowledged
2149 Fulton St Berkeley, CA 94704, USA - South Berkeley
Traffic diverter at Fulton and Blake does not have a metal staple or block in the middle like others around town, so many drivers opt to dismiss the signage and just proceed through of Fulton illegally. Please add a block or staple here to ensure the cut through is only used by emergency vehicles.
  • 5416-5420 Market St Oakland, CA 94608, USA - Santa Fe
northbound Market Street before 55th Street, in the travel lane

2101-2221 Castro Street Oakland, California - San Pablo Gateway
Southbound Castro St/MLK Jr Way between 22nd Street and San Pablo Ave has a "right turn only" sign heading towards the traffic signal, but then at the signal the leftmost lane is effective a left-turn only lane onto southbound San Pablo, and the rightmost lane is a right-or-left turn lane onto either north or southbound San Pablo. As such the "right turn only" sign doesn't make any sense here and should be removed. Lane arrows indicating the allowed turning movements should probably also be painted at the intersection.

3800-3812 Market St Oakland, CA 94608, USA - Longfellow
8:06pm tonight, northbound Market St at W MacArthur failed to detect me on my bicycle heading northbound in the bike lane. The oncoming direction of traffic got a green light through two phases but my direction stayed red. Why is it so difficult to get signals to detect bikes, I'm tired of waiting in the middle of the street on my bike after dark, exposing myself to potential drunks or worse, and I'm tired of reporting this crap over and over again! If these signals can't work for bikes 100% then remove the actuation from and put them on timed phases.
  • 3660-3698 Broadway Oakland, CA 94611, USA - Oakland Ave-Harrison St
Northbound Broadway in the left turn lane onto westbound W MacArthur, my bicycle was not detected while waiting for the left turn light tonight at 6:30pm. I sat through two signal phases and never got a green, then a driver pulled up behind me on the third phase and the light finally changed. Please fix.
  • 5468-5600 Horton St Emeryville, CA 94608, USA - Emeryville
Northbound Horton St bike lane between Stanford and Haruff blocked by construction signage. Please remind the contractor responsible for this signage that it should always be placed in the road verge or elsewhere whenever possible, not blocking a bicycle or other travel lane, or a sidewalk. If a bicycle lane or sidewalk must be blocked then appropriate detours or warnings need to be placed ahead of the blockage, just as it would for a vehicle travel lane.

2630 Telegraph Ave Oakland, CA 94612, USA - Northgate
Northbound Telegraph Ave bike lane before 27th Street, construction detour sign placed incorrectly blocking the bike lane. I can't tell what construction project this sign is related to or what it's supposed to be doing, but please find out and follow up with the contractor responsible for this about correct sign placement.
  • 1064 Lake Merritt Blvd Oakland, CA 94606, USA - Civic Center
All of the lights along the west side of the Lake Merritt Channel pathway are out, between the 12th Street Bridge underpass and the 10th Street Bridge underpass.

West Oakland Bart 7th Street, Oakland, CA 94607, United States of America - South Prescott
wave bicycle rack has been cut, south side of 7th St west of Center St in front of the W Oakland BART station. Please remove/replace ASAP as this rack is not safe to use as is.
  • Webster St And 22nd St Oakland, California - Waverly
The curb on the NW corner of Webster St at 22nd St was painted red last year in order to daylight the busy pedestrian crossing of Webster St here and make it easier for people driving and biking south on Webster to see and yield in time. However, tall delivery vehicles are now regularly parking at this curb, making the sight line issues even worse. Please install bollards at this location to define the red curb area and discourage drivers from parking here illegally.

    309-325 27th St Oakland, CA 94612, USA - Oakland Ave-Harrison St
The construction site at 27th between Broadway and Valdez converted a travel lane into a bike lane to ensure safe bicycle access throughout the development process. However, the construction crew regularly blocks this SE bound bike lane with large trucks, without any lane closures, signage or other traffic controls. This is particularly dangerous as it is a blind turn due to the construction fencing and equipment. Ideally this bike lane should remain clear all the time and construction staging should occur elsewhere. At the very least when a vehicle is in the bike lane on 27th it should be closed from Broadway to Valdez with traffic controls and/or a flagger.
  • 1630 San Pablo Ave Oakland, CA 94612, USA - Downtown
The traffic signal for northbound San Pablo before 17th Street did not detect me on my bicycle tonight around 8:05pm. I sat through two signal cycles and did not get a green light until a driver pulled up behind me. I was waiting right on top of the detector stencil.
  • 840 51st St Oakland, CA 94608, USA - Longfellow
The block of 51st Street between West and MLK Jr Way was resurfaced this summer (thanks!) but the stop letters were never repainted on each end. Please return to this location to finish this work, thank you.
  • 3240 Lakeshore Ave Oakland, CA 94610, USA - Trestle Glen
Stripped bike locked to bike rack, please remove. Bike corral in front of Trader Joe's on Lakeshore Ave
  • 3762-3798 Market St Oakland, CA 94608, USA - Longfellow
Northbound Market Street at West MacArthur Boulevard, the traffic signal did not detect me one my bicycle in the bike lane or in the northbound travel lane tonight around 7:40pm. The southbound direction of traffic got a green light during two signal phases, but my direction didn't get a green until a driver pulled up behind me. Please fix.
  • Other: Signs Acknowledged
835 55th St Oakland, CA 94608, USA - Santa Fe
Stop signs are desperately needed for 55th Street crossing Genoa. Just now I saw a truck driver nearly hit a woman pushing a stroller in the marked xwalk across 55th here, who was just barely able to stop in time despite me on my bike waving my arms trying to get him to slow down. This sadly is a regular occurrence, and the fact that Genoa is a popular bikeway also makes the location more dangerous for people biking through or making left turns. I urge you to please take this report very seriously and prioritize this fix before it's too late.
  • Street Sign Acknowledged
2080 Second Street Berkeley, CA 94710, USA - Berkeley
The stop sign for southbound 2nd Street at Addison needs a "cross traffic does not stop" sign added. Southbound drivers, often coming straight from the freeway, regularly assume that it's a 3-way stop and cut off people on Addison heading to and from Aquatic Park, including families on bikes.
  • 5701 Market St Oakland, CA 94608, USA - Santa Fe
Yet another pedestrian access issue at the Market/Adeline HSIP project construction site, this time for the southbound side of Market Street just past 57th, where the sidewalk and ramps are completely closed off without any detour signage or accommodation past the closure beyond walking in the street.
