Macarthur Bart Access Rd Oakland, CA 94609, USA - Temescal
Biking northbound on the MacArthur BART frontage road approaching 40th Street, I have been waiting at the signal for 10 minutes (as of right now, 8:50pm) with no green light to turn left onto 40th. As soon as a driver pulled up behind me (driving illegally on the frontage road by the way) it turned green instantly. Please adjust this signal so that it detects bikes at all hours. I was shining my bike lights directly toward the cameras but no luck.
  • 5401-5499 Martin Luther King Jr Way Oakland, CA 94609, USA - Santa Fe
Mattress blocking sidewalk, southbound MLK before 54th Street.
  • 2712-2740 Bette St Alameda, CA 94501, USA - Alameda
The new bike/ped path on the west side of Bette St is great, but there is currently a large amount of construction materials completely blocking the path near Singleton St. If the blockage is necessary then the construction crew should either put up detour signage at each closest intersection, or build a ramp to the street so that path users can get around it.

840 W Macarthur Blvd Oakland, CA 94608, USA - Longfellow
There has been a utility construction project ongoing for the past week on the north side of W MacArthur between West St and Market St, for which the bike lane has been closed and the sidewalk is impeded. However, there is no sidewalk detour signage at either of the nearest intersections, nor is there bike lane closure warning signage, nor is there a temporary bike lane and/or pedestrian path in the street, using a converted travel lane, as Oakland's construction traffic control guidance stipulates. Please follow up with this construction crew to ensure that they have an approved traffic control plan for this and every project which follows Oakland's bike/walk/transit design standards.

201-207 Grand Ave Oakland, CA 94610, USA - Lakeside
The bike lane/sidewalk closure on eastbound Grand Ave just east of Harrison is not in line with Oakland's construction traffic control guidance, which states that one of the travel lanes here should be closed in order to maintain a separate bikeway and pedestrian path. It's confusing what the current traffic controls are supposed to be directing people to do, but any on-street pedestrian pathway should be separated via a water filled barrier, and not flex posts.

361-371 Grand Ave Oakland, CA 94610, USA - Adams Point
The Ray's Electric crew installing the sidewalk bulbouts on the west side of Grand at Elita has closed the sidewalk and created a cone-separated bike path in the existing bike lane, both in conflict with Oakland's guidance for construction traffic controls, which indicate that one of the travel lanes should have been closed and converted to maintain separate bike and pedestrian facilities, and that any pedestrian pathway routed on-street should be separated by water-filled barriers at minimum. Please follow up with the contractor so that the bike/ped construction access is corrected here, as well as for all future projects.
  • 499 Grand Ave Oakland, CA 94610, USA - Lake Merritt
Two deep potholes, rightmost car lane on eastbound Grand Ave just east of Euclid.

101 Washington St Oakland, CA 94607, USA - Old City-Produce And Waterfront
The parking garage at 101 Washington St across from the Jack London Cinema regularly puts out this "no jaywalking sign". However, crossing midblock is only illegal for pedestrians between two signalized intersections, and is allowed elsewhere such as on this block of Washington between 2nd and Embarcadero. Please contact the garage owners to have them remove this illegal sign. If pedestrian safety is an issue here then it could be addressed via traffic calming and perhaps a midblock crosswalk directly between the garage and cinema.
  • 3801 Martin Luther King Jr Way Oakland, CA 94609, USA - Longfellow
Please adjust the pedestrian signals on each leg of the MacArthur Blvd/ MLK Jr Way intersection so that a button press is no longer needed to actuate the walk light. This actuation issue was recently corrected at the intersection of 40th St/Telegraph Ave since it is so close the the BART station, and MacArthur/MLK is similarly situated.
  • 401 Forest St Oakland, CA 94618, USA - Rockridge
Forest St just east of Miles Ave is very rough, extending through the Hwy 24 underpass to Shafter Ave. Since this is a shared lane bike route it would be very helpful for this segment to be either patched or resurfaced.
  • 277-281 38th St Oakland, CA 94611, USA - Piedmont Avenue
38th Street is badly deteriorated between Broadway and Cerrito Ave in both directions, especially from Broadway up the hill to about 277 38th Street. Some pothole fills in the short term will help a bit, but full restoration is needed.

400-426 Van Dyke Ave Oakland, CA 94606, USA - Cleveland Heights
  • 2325 Park Blvd Oakland, CA 94606, USA - Cleveland Heights
Westbound near the center line outside of 2324 Park Blvd
  • 2303-2309 Park Blvd Oakland, CA 94606, USA - Ivy Hill
westbound, rightmost lane outside of 2319 Park Blvd, in line with where bicyclists ride
  • 2601 Park Blvd Oakland, CA 94606, USA - Cleveland Heights
EBMUD recently finished a project on Brooklyn Ave and resurfaced the whole street upon completion. However, they also dug a trench on westbound Park Blvd from Spruce to Brooklyn but have not come back to resurface this rightmost lane, leaving it very uneven and deteriorating. This is a particular hazard to people biking down Park Blvd. Please send EBMUD back to finish this work, thanks.
  • 2268-2298 5th Ave Oakland, CA 94606, USA - Ivy Hill
Center line of Park Blvd just west of Van Dyke Ave
  • 1400-1410 3rd Ave Oakland, CA 94606, USA - Merritt
Sunken utility trench on NE bound 3rd Ave just past International Blvd. Other utility trenches on this block are also starting to sink and may need attention too.
  • 4440-4500 Tidewater Ave Oakland, CA 94601, USA - Arrowhead Marsh
Tidewater Ave from High Street to the East Bay Parks boating center is supposed to be an on-street bike connection between the Bay Trail from the south to the continuation north of High Street, but the pavement is about as bad as can be imagined. The semi traffic, abandoned train tracks, and flooding make it even worse. Please fix this up in the short term so someone doesn't get hurt before this Bay Trail gap can be completed.
  • 3294 Hyde Street Oakland, CA 94601, United States of America - Patten
Hyde Street from Fruitvale all the way to Coolidge Ave is pothole ridden and falling apart. I usually try to report individual potholes as opposed to whole sections of street, but there are too many here for me to send in one at a time. The city needs to either fill each of the three dozen or so holes here, or bring out their new pavement grinder and put it to work resurfacing the entire block.
  • 3009-3023 Lynde St Oakland, CA 94601, USA - Patten
