I agree, just a few days ago i saw a couple of aerial work platform (AWP) trucks working at that same area at the south end of Valley View. I hate to accidentally sound harsh, but the only concise way to phrase it is that... It seems plain enough that either the nice crew got distracted and careless, perhaps due to schedule pressures coming downward from their chain of command. Or else there's a chance they maybe are not fully reliable when nobody is looking, but this particular pole happens to be easily seen by a lot of passing traffic on Weatherly, and now it has gained a poster-child like visibility

Thank you for your concern, the pole in question will be addressed with the parties who are still attached to the old pole. Just so you are more informed the new cable which you mentioned is in the second position on the pole and cannot be transferred until the company in the first (highest on the pole) does their work first, in this case that is WOW cable. Although the process takes time it is being addressed and will get completed as soon as possible.

I'm not the original author of this case, i'm just speaking as a random moron passerby, but i sincerely thank the nice folks at Huntsville IT Services for chiming in. Our Rocket City is uncommonly full of engineers who are always trying to solve mysteries that are interesting (or at least intriguing to some of us). Sometimes here at See-Click-Fix the words coming down from above have been "close to the vest" meaning guarded or cautiously minimalist. So it's refreshing that here the info was provided with candor. Providing a crystal clear view at the underlying physics in a plain speaking fashion. I'm not at all bothered that the explanations are sometimes cryptic, i can see good reasons for that. Instead i'm just saying i for one feel honored to be allowed to see "the rest of the story" and it's yet another confirmation that Huntsville is an unusually great place to live.
