Still having a drainage issue and need to have another sewer drain put in or correct the grade on the road.

Water is still standing between 2915 and 2911 Normandy drive. It doesn't drain quick enough and floods easily with any rain.

Leaf build up in the curb-line could attribute to poor drainage. When I look at the pictures posted, the majority of the drainage runoff comes from the private driveway. I would be happy to met with you to discuss. The current infrastructure was intended to take in roadway runoff. Jim B. 11/18/19

Topography plays a major roll as water will travel downhill. I observed the indentations in the driveway where water pools. The driveway entrance is lower than the roadway. I would also like to have some information on where the rain gutter downspout tie into. Jim B. 11/18/19

Jim B. Re-investigated after overnight and morning rain/drizzle. No standing water in curb line. There is a storm drain to the right of this driveway as you face the address.

Hi Jim- we have fixed the drive way and the low area is now on the street. It drain, but still not fast enough- the freeze made a massive sheet of ice on the road and drive way. Please re-investigate.

Sounds good. Please give me call when you are able to take a look. Our neighbors house is at a low spot and his sump-pump pumps a lot of water around his mailbox and it just doesn’t get to storm drain on the other side of our yard quick enough! Thank you for your quick response!

I need to determine where the water flow is coming from.

Looking at 2915 from the driveway entrance. De-icing truck is headed this way to treat the ice to help it melt.

Water source is making it to the drain but freezes before hand. I will re-visit to determine the water source.

Thanks for investigating. The water is coming from our neighbors sump pump, which dumps directly to the road adjacent to their mailbox. This is a tremendous amount of water whenever it rains and then freezes over before draining from the street.

Dear User Jason Jones, Thank you for the information but I could use a little more information if you could help me out. The address where the sump pump comes from and if at all possible, where it pumps out from, so I can locate it in the field. There may be an opportunity for the resident to tie directly into the County storm drain to remedy this issue. Thanks again for your help and assistance!

Address is 2911 Normandy Drive and the location is just to the right of his mailbox post. Being able to pump directly into the storm drain would be a dream. Thank you!

Any progress on this? With all the rain yesterday it’s pumping out water today.
Let us me know if there’s anything we can do to tie it directly into the storm drain

Unfortunately no, I have not had the opportunity to go back out and speak with the property owner. I hope to do so by the end of March or April of this year.
