Traffic can make this corner difficult enough on the best of days, especially when traffic backs up during the evening commute and the majority of drivers ignore the crossing signal. Add in the fact that - as of this morning when I was on my way to work - there was a solid snowball across the curb at the crosswalk with just a narrow fissure about the width of a shoe to try and maneuver through only to step down into a mess of deep snow and crumbling snow boulders...all while hoping one doesn’t stumble or fall before the light changes and cars start coming. It’s a chronic problem at a lot of crosswalks, but worse at this one.
