The sidewalk has been closed due to house renovations for a week (at all hours, not just during construction hours) without alternate pedestrian safety accommodations. (When coupled with construction blocking the sidewalk on the same side down the block, it means that several houses are inaccessible to pedestrians without "jaywalking".)
