Deskripsyon
I waited FOUR MINUTES at 6:36-6:40pm this afternoon, on Seawell School trying to turn left onto Homestead. I know they were working on the lights in preparation for deploying new lights at the intersection for the new subdivision, but it's been like this for WEEKS. This is ridiculous.
If it cannot be timed properly, put it on red/yellow blinking outside school hours.

Currently, the larger detectors are not connected nor functional. Only the bicycle loops near the stop line are functioning. The Town has set the bicycle loops to instant recall and lock in order to reduce unnecessary stoppage along Homestead Rd.
The recommends pulling up to the thick white stop line in order to trigger the signal.
The Town will review if this setup is practical. Otherwise, the Town will make additional adjustments.

While the bike loop does detect traffic and lock on a vehicles for a green, it does not have surface area to optimally catch traffic.
During school hours, the green on Seawell School Rd is set to the maximum, and the minimum during all other hours. The maximum wait on Seawell School Rd should be up to 1 minute at most.
The Town will continuously monitor the intersection for performance.
Please contact the Town at (919) 969-4999 for any other questions or concerns.
