I think, the”side walk” can be mistaken for a parking lane, as there is a sidewalk along the fence on the Hichey Park side. Clear signage needed.

There's a stone curb and a concrete sidewalk. I don't see how that could be mistaken for a "parking lane". Not to mention that there are signs indicating when and where parking as allowed. As to the "sidewalk" on the park side of the fence, it's s dirt path.

I was wondering why they park on the sidewalk, and how no police have noticed that yet. I see cars parked there every day.

This issue came up in May 2016. At that time the ruling from Sgt Richard Carroll was that this area is not a sidewalk (despite its outward appearances). I was disappointed, but that's how it went: https://seeclickfix.com/issues/2517083-parking-related-issue

Thanks for the clarification, Kevin. I wish it was clearly marked, though. Parking there creates dangerous situations. Some years ago, I witnessed how a cyclist on the road was taken out by a kid on a skateboard that came out of nowhere between the parked cars. Kid was fine, the elderly cyclist however suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.
