Old Frederick Road between Rogers circle headed west to the bridge into Baltimore County. The speed limit is 25 mph but cars routinely drive 40 mph or higher and pass on the wrong side of the road to get by people going the speed limit. This is a winding road with elevation changes. The speed limit is posted in a couple spots but I'm asking for more signs displaying the speed limit hoping this may control the speeders using the road as a shortcut. Many occasions you are honked at and passed for going the speed limit. My concern is for the kids at bus stops along the road and for all drivers as cars routinely pass on the wrong side of the road

Yes, please. There are no shoulders on this road and cars cross the double yellow lines every single day in their rush to get down this road. It is not safe. Old Frederick is used as a pass through from 695 and people are in a hurry on a 25 mph road that can’t sustain 40+ mph drivers safely. Additional stop signs or speed bumps might be the only way to slow traffic. Much appreciate you looking into this!!

Can the county please do something to correct this safety issue? I travel this stretch of road multiple times a day and witness daily near misses. Cars routinely speed on the wrong side while passing responsible drivers putting everyone at risk. It's not uncommon to see it done to school buses at bus stops. I suggest something be done proactively rather than after a tragedy

Any update the county can provide? The same problems are still noted daily. Can traffic calming be installed to get commuters to travel closer to the speed limit? Perhaps even adding a barrier so cars can't continue to pass on the wrong side of the road

Speed humps are not installed on Major Collector, winding, steep, roadways.
