Thank you for bringing this to our attention! I have reached out to our tenants at this building to remind them of the parking laws in Burlington, and ask them to remove the vehicles. Please let us know if this continues to be an issue so we may address it!
While we do address parking in our leases, it does not address lawn parking - we do however go over it verbally. Our lease is currently under review for new signings, and we will be discussing this with the owners to add a reminder!
Cara--thanks for your reply. While cars do need to be parked where they can be parked during those few parking emergencies throughout the year (e.g., sweeping/snow removal), for the vast majority of the time, the jockeying of vehicles into and out of the already-filled lots of your rental properties at all hours causes much frustration for your tenants and nearby residents. Among these issues are wasted time, noise, lawn parking, and exhaust sucked into residences. I wouldn't travel to a metropolitan hotel with a car without being assured of a parking space, for which I'd expect to pay. Nor would I host a guest without securing legal parking. So I agree, a clause in your leases spelling out parking expectations for tenants and their guests would be a GIANT step forward for everyone.
Problem was addressed at time of complaint with no further comments during following 2 years. If problem occurs again a new SCF issue should be created to address - closing issue.
