Community Development will assign an inspector to check the entire street for violations of the City’s Grass and Weed ordinance. This ordinance requires the cutting of grass or weeds over 8 inches in height and consume an abundance of the yard. We cannot require the trimming of trees, bushes, shrubs, bamboo, ornamentals, ivy, poison ivy, oak or sumac; nor can we require the trimming of curb / gutters / driveways / sidewalks or vines be removed from the structure. The weeds are the secondary problem. The main concern is the building they’re destroying & the power lines that they now climb on.
