The alley potholes have been repaired.

They may have been repaired a few weeks ago, but the pot holes are re-appearing. The rain and the constant traffic from the gas station, has opened up the pot holes again. The two large ones going across to the pavement into the gas station has re-appeared. All the pot holes that where filled in they are coming back big time. The heavy rains plus the tires of the cars going through the pot holes are getting just as big as they where a couple of weeks ago. Of course they where repaired but like I said in the other link, they need to be paved. So what I am telling the city now....all the work they did before, is for not. It was a waste of the cities time, my neighbors time, my time and money for doing it wrong. There is an old adage that goes something like this. You do the same thing over and over again expecting different results, how crazy is that.

Years ago, you where paving the alley ways, then you ran out of money. Now you want us in our own area to foot the money. It is the cities responsibility to do it right the first time, and paving our alley is the only solution for all this constant traffic. Not only that, since the heavy traffic is the result of the Rally Gas station, I think they should foot the bill, don't you? My understanding that in conversation with the other Neighbors, the city is pro-business, and we the residence pay for it.

If you are not going to do it right the first time, second time, third time and so on, you need to come back and do it again.

POTHOLES FILLED 7/11/18 - TW & RJ

OK, I will go out side and look right now. I have some pictures for you regarding this alley that has no pot holes....they sure look like they are still there and even bigger now.

By the way, that one was a small one.

Now this one, is the biggest one, quite impressive. Sure the other one causes my Trike to bottom out, but this one, could do some damage.

This one is not as deep as the other ones but it is growing. As I said before, putting Asphalt down will stop these pot holes from re-appearing. Right now, no sooner after you do the repairs, the holes re-appear. The real problem, is the high amount of traffic from the gas station is what is doing this. Until the city figures this out, that putting asphalt down will be cheaper then me letting you know about this every other week or so. This problem will not go away. I suggest you talk to the gas station to see about if they would pay for the asphalt in the alley...since they are doing 90% of all the damage.

If you think I am a pain in the @#$ now.....I am not moving yet, so I suggest you guys do some thinking about this......

Just got a call from your paving department, they are telling me to call Tom Schmanstick @ 727-892-5384, to have this alley be assets for paving. Then all the neighbors will get a letter as a petition to see if they want this alley paved. Once assets, their property taxes will go up. The pavement goes down.....and the benefactor of the pavement is the Rally Station because once it is paved, we will end up asking for a stop light. It will be like grand central station. The real benefactor here is the Rally Gas station. They are profiting on the cars that are using the alley way regardless if it is paved or not. After thinking long and hard on this matter, and the fact that people don't really give a damn about the sign that reads "Local Traffic Only". I have come to the conclusion that it is better that I cry about the pot holes and have them fix them three or four times a year then allow. # 1. the city make us pay for it. #2. Rally Station profit from the traffic that does not abide by the law in either case. #3. it is a no win situation. So I guess you guys are going to have to come out here again and fix these pot holes. Not to be redundant, but these pot holes are never going away.

I am coming back at this again.....after five days of thinking about my last comment. I know, you guys do not take me serious, that is a shame, it is not only me that you are hurting, but the rest of the locals in this area are feeling the pain. The holes are getting deeper every time it rains. Since we are just grading it, and such, isn't there a technology or something that you can at least fill the pot holes with and then grade it. The idea is that they can withstand the traffic and rain and never re-appear or might take a year. Another thought, you know the speed bumps you put in there and they evidently disappeared but did leave a lasting impression or a rise...not much but it did work. Well couldn't you do the same thing with the pot holes....fill them with the same material you use to make speed bumps? It is something to think about and no we are not doing asphalting the alley, but dealing with only the bad spots...and there are a lot of pot holes. That would reduce the maintenance and you have a new invention on your hands. I think it might work.

B Taylor...thank you for ignoring the duplicate of this issue. No doubt, you must have come out here to look for yourself that it did indeed needed bladed The pavement & Traffic people have blinders on. You did a good job this time.
