Overgrowth on lawn extension and yard itself; some weeds are as tall as 5 feet. Feels unsafe to walk through as it leans over the sidewalk.

A Community Standard's Officer inspected this parcel and the homeowner was contacted as well. There is no vegetation code violation at this property. The yard has plants that were part of a planned, cultivated area.

It can be tall, but it shouldn't be growing over the sidewalk even if it's a planned wild area. Those are two separate issues. If they only checked the vegetation height, but didn't check whether the vegetation is growing over the sidewalk, you might need to reopen this, or better, open a new issue as a sidewalk issue. But if it's just tall and not encroaching the sidewalk, I think that adds character to the city.
