Description
The intersection of RIVERS EDGE RD and LONG VIEW RD is a 4-way stop that lacks any painted stop line markings. In order to encourage vehicles to obey the stop signs at all four approaches to this intersection I am requesting that Howard County apply brightly painted and reflective stop line markings ASAP at all four corners of this intersection. Painting a crosswalk (across Rivers Edge Rd) would also be appropriate, as this corner serves as a school bus stop and children cross the street frequently at this location.

Thank you for reporting your issue/request to the Howard County Department of Public Works\Traffic Engineering Division.
Field observation conducted at the subject location on multiple occasions. We initiate Work Order # 4731 to our maintenance crew to install the missing stop line at the intersection. With regards to the crosswalk, this location doesn’t warrant at this time due to low pedestrian volume. We will review this location in the future for further traffic and safety improvements.
