  Dear S5: If you haven't already, please call OPD non-emergency (777-3333) to report this crime, with as much detail as you can. Police have their hands tied to some extent with the homeless encampments, but if we can report a crime and, as you have done, associate it with individuals within the encampment, then OPD can act. Thank you!

  Thank you. I did report this to Oakland PD. They were beyond frustrated to help and did begrudgingly take the “report” they said they would let the beat cop know...

  S5, I know this shouldn't have to fall to you, but if you could also send a note, with detailed descriptions, to these two folks at OPD, it would be helpful:
  --Ofc. Gilberto Aranda, Beat 19 Community Resource Officer: GAranda@oaklandnet.com
  --Sgt. John Perrodin, homelessness encampment management team: JPerrodin@oaklandnet.com

  Please, especially, keep Ofc. Aranda notified of future crime and safety issues in your area. First, report all crimes to OPD (emergency or non-emergency, as needed), then follow up with a note to Ofc. Aranda.
