Is there a status update on this request?

Hello. What is the status on this request? I haven't heard anything and I've seen some minor tree work happening around the city. It would really be a tragedy for large pieces of this tree to injure or kill someone. Why is it taking so long to address this?

Please understand that the Arborist will get out to inspect this tree, but is will take some time as he has a large case load. It will be addressed as quickly as possible.

Thank you for the update, Alphonso. Given the size and condition of the tree, I would suggest prioritizing this issue. Even just a limb falling could cause serious damage or injury.

Thank you Alphonso. The tree was inspected last week. A few of my neighbors were home at the time of the inspection. The workers stated that the tree was in fact dead and would be taken down. However no date was provided for this. Can you confirm when the tree will be cut down and removed? I appreciate your attention to this matter. There are several young children that live in close proximity to this tree, including my own 5 year old. We need this request to be expedited.

After speaking with the Arborist, we have scheduled this to be removed on 7-27-2017.

On 7/27/2017 the tree was topped, meaning that all the upper branches were removed leaving just a trunk that will be scheduled at a later date. This was done to ensure safety until the proper equipment can be brought in to drop the trunk.

Thank you. Do you have an estimated date for the trunk? Will it occur before the winter?

It is our hope to drop the trunk before winter.

Due to a fire at the base of this trunk, the trunk was dropped on 10/4/2017.
