I was happy to see the tire removed but the bigger, ongoing issue is with Sprint's trash cans that remain out on the sidewalk 7 days a week and are frequently overflowing. Isn't this is violation of city ordinances and aren't they subject to fines?

For the record, my complaint last month about blighted news racks was referred to Code Enforcement. They informed me that, since the racks are on public sidewalk, they're not responsible for abatement. Why is this any different since the trash cans are sitting on the public right of way?

Sprint's trash cans are still permanently sitting on the sidewalk - frequently stuffed to overflowing.

I'm continuing to implore Code Enforcement to enforce the regulations regarding trash cans on the public right of way. As I understand it, cans are supposed to be placed on the sidewalk no more than 24 hours before pick up and brought inside after being emptied. Sprint is totally in violation and a similar situation exists on Lakeshore in front of Noah's and Starbucks - where the problem is suddenly more acute as a Bike Share station has just been installed.
