Correct, but now vehicles cant move over some to pass cyclists, makes for a very tight, uneasy situation.

How about waiting behind the cyclist instead of trying to squeeze them in? It is a tiny section that takes an extra 2 seconds to wait. The flex posts are doing their job perfectly. Please just give cyclists some room.

Cyclists may use the full lane. You may sometimes need to wait before an opportunity for safe passing presents itself. Sharing sometimes means taking turns in serial rather than parallel. The concept of First Come, First Served is a bedrock of our transportation system.

Well said Nic and RJ. If a driver is "squeezing" cyclists then that driver is doing it wrong.
With all the negative commentary about the posts, I feel compelled to voice my support for them. I think they're a step in the right direction. Maybe they're not perfect and maybe the public works crew will will use what they've learned from them to provide an even better solution. This is an intersection/turn where too many run the red light when turning right, cut over across the solid line and go too fast. It's time some calming measures were implemented. I personally have not had any issues using the area with the posts installed. I have had plenty of time to move to the other lanes after the posts.

Everyone has assumed Im the driver passing a cyclist. I am niether the cyclist or passing car, but just an observer. I also watched a car cut through the new "opening" to pass a truck taking a right.

FWIW - I've also seen drivers jet through the gap in the delineators.
