Descrição
Contractor has placed a large concrete culvert across the greenway with loose gravel piled around it - very dangerous for bikers and children. Blockage has been in place for at least 8 weeks (attached pic was taken April 5). Site prep on property next door continues. CF Evans Construction is listed on the fencing around the property. A more effective bridge across the blockage should be installed.

Then I humbly suggest that the town of Cary should take this greenway off of their physical and online maps.
Highwood Services should be embarrassed by this situation and should direct the contractor to correct it. All it would require is a placement of a small load of concrete pavers over the hump of gravel. If they paid for the greenway to be installed for public use in the first place, they should also have interest to maintain their investment.
The bigger question of whether this half buried culvert is now a permanent fixture is too daunting to consider.

Hey again, I can guess your time (PWUTCUSTSVC) is tight to answer with some pressure to close these issues based on the short replies - but please don't short-change your impact here. (I think it is worth a bit of time to post when improvements result even when the issue is passed around a bit, it makes us feel that the process works)
Somehow as a result of this question, the contractor went back and added a layer of compressed base sand on top of the loose gravel last week. For the first time in 8 weeks we can ride over the obstruction without having to dismount and carry our bikes. Yay!
That's a Win!
Thanks very much for escalating this issue to Cary, and to the property owner.
