The sidewalks on 61st Street between Colby and Hillegass are in serious need of repair. The block is scheduled for repairs, but it looks like we won't make it in this funding cycle.

1) The City Arborist, Jerry Smith, has come to our block and identified major sidewalk damage caused by city trees in at least 5 locations on both the north and south sides of the block.

2) Repairs are prioritized based on whether or not the sidewalks are major thoroughfares to shopping, commuting, schools, etc. Lee White, the senior adviser, understands that this is the case for our block.

3) Repairs to adjacent sidewalks (Colby/Hillegass/63rd and 62nd) were all made within the last 4 years. Sidewalks on 61st and 60th weren't repaired.
