Illegal advertising signs nailed to poles. These violators are destroying our city.
Their phone number is listed on the sign - very easy to find and assess a fine.

Someone reported a mayor for Oakland candidate sign (I think it was Parker) on Skyline, across from the reservoir parking lot months ago on Skyline but it is still there. You need a ladder to reach it.

Dear Redwood Road, thanks for doing this...every effort helps. And yes, there are still signs around from the last election: I just saw and reported a bunch of Measure BB signs.
In addition to removing these signs, it's important to report them as well. Statistics matter, and if we don't document this activity it did not happen. Best to first file a report via SeeClickFix and then forward it to GMinor@oaklandnet.com along with the photos.
good luck!

They used screws rather than nails to mount the signs. I will try another approach. I did get the vote for Parker signs down on Skyline. The were nailed up so were easy to pry loose. They are finally gone after all of these months.

Dear Redwood Road, I certainly understand how frustrating it is and am experiencing the same thing. However, while the staff of the City of Oakland is not responsive or even professional in their communication, some of our reports are being addressed. For example, I have now submitted at least six requests to Greg Minor and have not had a single response from him....BUT...I did get several responses from Carl Sibley who copied me on his communications and had the signs removed.
So, while this is frustrating and disappointing in terms of dealing with the people who are our designated points of contact, it's very important that we continue to follow the process and report issues.
Thanks for doing this for our city!
