What is the update on the light on Leicester? I also think this is a big issue for children crossing. The spot that most cross is also not painted as a cross walk so that may be helpful as well.

Thanks for your continued interest on this matter. The traffic light on Leicester no longer meets DOT regulations and could not be used for traffic control. It has not functioned since the elementary school moved. The Village paints the crosswalks every summer before school starts. Is the crosswalk you are referring to the one on Leicester St? Thanks.

The intersections that are of HUGE concern is the one at the end of Watkins and N. Center Street. Also the five corners at Arrow Mart. No one pays attention and there are children that cross there daily.

Thank you for your continued interest and concerns about issues in the Village. The intersection at Watkins Ave has been reviewed and counts done of number of children crossing and based on those relatively small numbers, the Village has chosen to use its limited resources on crossing guards on N. Main St and Benedict St and Olin Ave. If you desire any actions for the 5 corners, I would recommend you put your request in writing to be read at a Village Board meeting so the Board can consider any action you may be requesting.
