The traffic signal at Balch Road and University Drive needs to be retimed. During peak hours the signal for cars going north/south along Balch Road only allows for a maximum of 4-5 cars to move on a green light. It backs up the traffic on Balch Road past the CVS Drugstore on the north side of University Drive and almost to Gooch Lane on the south side of Balch Road. I had to sit through 4 cycles of green lights to get across University Drive and watched over a dozen cars run red lights to get across. It's becoming a very dangerous intersection due to poor timing of the green light.
