Deskripsyon

There are many street lights out throughout the village, not just on Hawthorne. Could DPW check and repair those prior to Halloween so our kids have a safe night? We also notice more vandalism on those streets who's lights are not operational each year.

Thank you for alerting us to the street light outage. if you have more specific information on the location on Hawthorne that would help. We report them to NYSEG for repair when an outage is reported. We do not have the capability or the training to repair or replace the street lights. They address them on their schedule. I will request our Police to observe the lights for outages and report them.

This is really an ongoing issue but I did notice that upon this notice, you guys did have someone go around and fix multiple lights, thank you! I think a big thing would maybe to make sure that Nyseg or the town survey the area during set times of year? Like before Halloween, and after school lets out for safety reasons.

Everyone help in identifying street lights that are out as a big help. NYSEG repairs what we call in when lights are out. They do not monitor the street lights, so help out and report it if you see lights that are not working. Thanks to all who notice and report them here or to the Village Clerks Office @ 237-2216.
