@jgchemie: Completely possible! Cities are amazing in how well they can change over time. If we can build speed bumps, we can build wider sidewalks, bike lanes, medians, and the like. It's all infrastructure; it's all possible.

Oh yeah, let's get some bike lanes and bigger sidewalks in there while we're at it!

Join Bike East Bay for an upcoming walk on Telegraph to get the word out to local residents about our Telegraph Avenue Complete Street campaign. Come September, the City of Oakland will release its preferred design for street improvements on Telegraph Avenue from 20th St to 57th St. and these may not include protected bikeways, unless we act quickly. Can you help? The City has also scheduled public workshops for September 11 and 13, and we need to get the word out.

I agree and the chronic side showing on Market and 32nd, Brockhurst is awful. Lights and bumps would help, and a bit more policing would be great too!

In order for us to get more policing the neighborhood needs to get much more active in reporting issues as they happen. Even if you know that OPD will not be able to come out to address that particular issue immediately, they will have it documented and statistics do matter long term.

I met with Officer Muniz, he is the PSO in this area, and he is very open to helping us. One thing he recommended as a must is continued reporting of issues as they come up. We need give this support to our police district so that they can advocate for more resources and more patrolling.

If everyone participates, the neighborhood will get better!

I was given issue #529790 being currently active as the reason this issue was closed however I am not able to locate this issue to share with my neighbors. Please send a link to the ACTIVE request or CLOSE IT and REOPEN this one! There are many comments here that need to be linked to both requests. This issue is NOT fixed.

Is this really something that's super difficult to get done? Maybe by the time you guys get around to putting in speed bumps the street will wash away instead. A stupid little radar detector for two days at the end of the street isn't enough. I walk my dogs regularly here and people scream down the street. FIX IT!
