Description

There should be two lanes that turn left from Beaumont onto Chatham. There should also be a protected left turn arrow. During morning commute times, this light backs up in the middle of the intersection, but barely any cars go straight. The street ahead on Beaumont gets reduced to one lane a block further, so there only needs to be one straight lane going that way anyway. A protected left turn would also prevent the difficulty of turning in front of drivers coming down Beaumont towards Macarthur, which during commute times can take the entire light cycle, only allowing a few turning cars to actually turn.

In short, create a two lane protected left turn from Beaumont onto Chatham, towards the Park entrance onto 580.
