All construction debris (and its dust) is hazardous and as the building was built before 1978 suspect for both lead paint (on woodwork) and asbestos (in the plaster and caulking materials). Regardless, this requires a professional clean-up crew to manage the dust and debris and the handling of and disposing of properly. Also to remove all the contaminated snow before it melts and drains intro the sewer system.

The debris piles extend the full length of the Palace building area and has contaminated the street side snow piles. It appears (003) someone came and swept the sidewalks today (either the Clean-Team, or I saw a lone contractor (?) standing there). Concurrently with the typical wind in this street, sweeping releases dust and lighter materials, insulation paint chips, into the air, blown up the street and out of the specific work area, then tracked into businesses, cars, homes, etc.
