At the corner of Elm and College, there is a right turning lane that intersects with the bike lane. It is difficult for cars to see bikes as they turn, which has resulted in several accidents. Technically, both have the right of way here, so it is incredibly dangerous for both cyclists and drivers. Please fix this issue before more people get hurt.

One solution is to move the Elm St. automobile stop line back ten feet at College, and create a Bike Box (google it). This wouldn't fully solve the problem, but paint would at least suggest to drivers that they need to watch for bikes, and when the light turns green it would be clear who has priority, because bikes have already started ahead of automobiles.
My understanding is that the City has had difficulty locating a contractor to lay down the distinctive paint to mark the existing bike lane. When that is complete, things may be a little better.
For now, as a cyclist I still take the right-most automobile lane, specifically because of the intersection conflicts at College and Temple.
