Normal procedure in requesting a street light; you will need to get a petition together and have the residents sign it and put their address on it that live within 300 feet of where you would like to light installed. Once we have received the petition we will send someone out to survey the area and if it is in accordance to the City of Macon Street Lighting Ordinance we will have a light installed by Georgia Power. Petition received on 9/19/13 and street light was approved on 9/25/13. A letter was sent to Georgia Power asking them to install a street light at the intersection of Thurmond Drive and Newton Place.
