Most patients and visitors get off the bus at the corner of chapel and beers, in front of Yale New Haven Hospital (HSR Campus) main entrance. This campus serves thousands of people per day. There is no crosswalk and people getting off the bus have to cross a street that's busy with traffic weaving across lanes at 45 miles per hour.
Please add immediately:
1. Improved bus stop with better ramps, shelter, and lighting
2. Traffic calming and a lit crosswalk to get from the bus to the hospital
3. Buffered bike lane to help narrow street and reduce speeds.

"1" represents the bus stop, on the right hand side of the street, going westbound on Chapel Streets. This is one of the city's busiest bus routes and a common way for people to access the hospital.
"2" shows where there is no crosswalk, at the corner of Chapel and Beers. The nearest crosswalk is quite far, in a neighborhood that is known for having public safety issues at night.
"3" shows the main entrance to the hospital. It's almost directly across from the bus stop.
Due to these issues, observations show that nearly 100% of users cross the street where there is no crosswalk, putting themselves at risk of being hit by a speeding truck or car. Crossing Chapel Street involves crossing a one-way, two-lane road with high speed traffic.
Please correct this issue immediately.
