Hi - I'm sorry to disagree with you but the stairs are not fine, they are too steep and narrow. Definitely not up to today's code standards. There is so much concern about the boardwalk being unsafe down at grove park, but they can't explain what is unsafe about it. It's clearly visible and evident that these stairs are unsafe, ever try to get off prospect beach after the fireworks, it will take you an hour , and folks try to climb up the steep ledge in the dark with flip flops on so they can ct the line, it will only take on person falling and getting injured before the city gets slapped with a huge lawsuit! I can't control the poor decisions our city makes when it comes to spending. The school issues is not one I am concerned with, my kids go to private school here in town, so I don't need to deal with overcrowding and school shutdowns. Unfortunately, my tax dollars are going to the public school budget.

Why isn't this fixed yet?

Can't wait for the fireworks in 2 weeks, I hope there are no injuries from folks trying to get up the stairs or navigate around the memorial benches.
