This intersection is poorly understood by most motorists, who don't understand that the right of way belongs to cars hugging the park. I have had to stop short for cars turning from Garden to Alpine (when I'm approaching from the other direction), because they don't understand that they are actually TURNING in the face of oncoming traffic. So there either needs to be a three-way stop or clearer marking or signs. This seems especially important as this is also a pedestrian crossing used by students heading to Tobin/VLUS. Thank you.
