The issue has not been fixed! There has been no traffic count or speed sign as promised.

Absolutely nothing has been done! It has been at least 6 months since my initial complaint with my municipal politician! Promises have been made but I'm still waiting for something positive to occur. The traffic continues to speed along making the street dangerous as the cars race by to make the light at Keeler Blvd. and Neilson Rd. What next?

The issue has not been fixed! A traffic count on Keeler Blvd at Skyridge would be appropriate . Can it be done by the end of June? I've been asking for one for many months if fact before Christmas!!! My councillor's office has said it's possible but how long do we have to wait? It's a simple request! The traffic on Keeler is a nightmare for homeowners at the end of the street closest to Neilson Blvd.

Well believe it or not a survey was completed in October 2012! But no one informed us. However, it was done further down the street past Skyridge and all the cars that pass by my home where the complaint was originated from were not counted in this survey! We wanted the traffic count to be between Neilson Rd and Skyridge Rd. That is where the heavy traffic and speeding occurs! (not east of Skyridge) So this was a big disappointment and not at all what was asked. Traffic from the following streets was not counted which would changed the numbers significantly- Sanddrift Sq, Eden Mills, Skyridge Rd, Misthollow Sq,Stonecraft Pl and of course all the traffic coming from Military Trail! (a short cut to the 401) It would only have taken a phone call to find out the best place on KeelerBlvd to do the traffic count. Anyway, that's the city for you!!! And the problems continue. E. Let's leave it for now as a traffic study was apparently completed last year! However, it was not done at the beginning of the street where the real problem is!! ( speeding and volume) and we were never informed of the study until you got involved many many months later! Which makes me question was it actually done? E. Fraser

A traffic study still needs to be done at the beginning of Keeler Blvd. In front of houses #1-11. This would then give us a realistic picture of the exact volume and speed of the cars at the beginning of our street where the issue occurs!

This traffic concern remains open until the traffic count is conducted at the beginning of our street - Keeler Blvd. In front of #5Keeler would be just about right! This way ALL cars that use our street will be counted and speed would be acknowledged and recorded. This was not done in the previous count which is inaccurate!!! as it was done closer to the end of Keeler and does not count many of the cars which speed by my home and turn before the end of the street where the traffic counter was situated!! A proposal for 51 new homes which will use Keeler Blvd. is being considered at this very moment putting another 100 cars on our street! IS ANYONE THERE LISTENING? A traffic count at the beginning of Keeler Blvd. Is all that needs to be done. And then maybe stop signs would help slow the traffic on our street and keep it safe for all neighbours and their children. E. Fraser

Our public school has been torn down and they are now building 51 new homes which have to use Keeler Blvd. to come and go! Does anyone even look at my comments? We need speed bumps or stop signs to slow down the traffic on our street. Do we need a serious accident for anyone to do anything to control the speed and traffic on Keeler Blvd? 😢 Ms E. With our new additional subdivision there are far too many cars racing up and down Keeler Blvd. I often have a hard time backing out of my driveway. No one wants to stop to let you in and worst of all turning right into my driveway is even harder. Many cars go around me rather than stop behind me to let me into my driveway!! It really is a safety issue!!!!! We need a traffic count on this street just to prove the number of cars coming and going! Can you help??? There is always an excuse from traffic administration of why we can't have one! Ridiculous!

The problem of volume and speed on Keeler Blvd is getting worse! Speed bumps AND stop signs are necessary before there is an serious accident. It is safety issue for sure! E. Fraser

No change to volume and speed on Keeler Blvd. In fact it is getting worse!
A petition has been sent to our counsellor Paul Anslie for speed humps or stop signs!
No word yet!!!!! I won't hold my breath. No one seems to care about our safety! .

We are still waiting to hear when the city is installing speed humps on Keeler Blvd. The motion was passed by council last year! Our neighbours are waiting patiently. No one seems to know!!! There must be a date???
