Description

Hello Fixer

I was wondering if we could do something about two huge ship bumper tires that have washed up on Cherry Beach in the dog park. During the summer we dogwalkers tried to move them but it was to much for us. We need a tow truck to pull them out.. Many travelers to Toronto would see these tires when they fly into the Billy Bishop Airport and I think they do not give a good impression of our city. The water level is so low now that it would be a perfect time to have them removed. One tire has been there for over six years and the other one washed up last winter. It would mean so much to me and other people if these tires were removed. Thank you so much for all the good things that you have done for our beautiful city. Glenn Gillespie 416 699 0943

UPDATE FEB.2 2013

Sadly ....The two tires are still there...Our Toronto Star 'Fixer' has not written about them as of Feb.2. Hope they will in the future. I encourage more people to vote on this problem hoping that will help. We have a lot of pride in our beach and seeing these tires in our Lake Ontario is sad. Thank you for allowing me to bring this problem to the media.
Glenn
